October 21, 2009

The first annual OnDC, presented by AlwaysOn, is a two-and-a-half-day executive gathering that highlights the significant economic, political, and commercial trends affecting global innovation industries. OnDC focuses on the sectors most impacted by the federal government including greentech, on-demand computing and IT security, education, and the life sciences. Part of what is at stake is the more than $80 billion in proposed annual spending by the government on these industries.

The Lions of Liquidity

Who are the disruptive adaptive entities, offering funding solutions when the conventional sources have dried up? This panel of finance entrepreneurs presents a variety of innovative ways for small companies to maintain adequate working capital despite the credit drought.

James Gutierrez, along with the leaders of 3 other financial services companies, presented how they are part of a select group that represents the “wind and solar” companies of financial liquidity. These companies provide financing that is fair to consumers and small businesses. “Progreso Financiero has brought innovation and liquidity to the market at a time when traditional banking institutions are pulling back. Regulators have the power to cultivate the innovation that represents the future of credit and capital markets” remarked James.
