Armando Pedro Santiago's StoryA family changed by Progreso Financiero.
Armando Pedro Santiago came to the United States 7 years ago from Mexico with his wife and son in search of a better life and the American dream. He didn't realize the benefits of having a good credit history until a year ago when he applied for his first loan with Progreso Financiero. That first loan and a second have had a positive impact on his family's well being and feeling of inclusion in the United States. Pedro used the first loan to buy needed tools for his construction job that up until that point he had been renting from his employer. The owner, impressed by Pedro's commitment and hard work, promoted Pedro to Team Manager. Recently, Pedro was approved for a second loan, which he used to buy a car for his wife, who constantly travels for work. He expected to use the loan to purchase a car in full, but after running his credit, the car dealership informed Pedro he was approved for additional financing. He used the loan as a down payment and purchased a new car for his wife. Thanks to his Progreso loan, his wife has a safe, reliable car and no longer has to take the bus to work. "We are now somebody," says Pedro's wife, Lupita. "My husband has changed - he feels more confident and happy. We've learned a lot and we are teaching our son so he can have a better future. We started from scratch and now we are slowly building our dreams." |
